Captains (Riders)

We treat our Captains and their families like ROCK STARS!

A Captain is anyone with a disability!  We support individuals with various disabilities needing different levels of care.  myTeam Triumph assists in a range of support from racing chairs fit to the specific needs of an idividual, to opportunities for ambulatory individuals to walk or run!

Captains can choose to participate with Angels of their choosing, or myTeam Triumph will pair Captains with their Angels.
In addition to providing assistance as an Angel in the race, we have many additional opportunities for family members and caregivers to get involved!

Participation in a myTeam Triumph event as a Captain is 100% cost free!  We provide the equipment, host regular training events, sponsor the entry fee and provide a team uniform for all Captains.

Prioir to the race, each Captain will be given their own donation page for Angels to utilize to while fundraising and creating awareness about the event. Through these donations, we will able to cover the team’s race entry fees, and support our continued mission to assist others in achieving the thrill of racing.

Angels (pushers)

Join the myTEAM Triumph - Minnesota Team!

myTEAM TRIUMPH Angels are the athletes who serve their Captain selflessly by fundraising and guiding their Captain with a disability throughout a race.

Each team is composed of up to three Angels who have the honor of running with, pulling or pushing their captains though out the race. Through the team dynamic, we ensure our captains safely cross the finish line in addition to building lasting, authentic relationships between people of all abilities.  The team can be made up of friends and family of the captain, or myTEAM Triumph will work to pair our Captains with Angels that best fit their needs.

If you don’t have others to run with, no worries!  You will have the chance to choose your distance and pace during registration.  We will do our best to match you up with others of similar ability.

As an Angel you are committing to the following:
Training Runs. Attending a minimum of 1-2 training runs prior to race day.
Pre-Race Gathering. Join the team for a fun gathering prior to the race as we review the race day plan.
Race Day. Being an active member of the team on race day
Fundraising a minimum of $150 per Angel. When you sign up, a fundraising page will automatically be created for your team and Captain. Please share this page with friends and family! Fundraising supports race entries, operational costs, pre-race camp food and continued support of our mission!
myTEAM Triumph offers many tools to assist in meeting your fundraising goals which will provide upon registration.

Volunteers (non-runners)

If you would like to volunteer, but are not a runner, we would love to have you!! We have opportunities to serve at water stops, cheer at our cheer zones, help set up, and manage race day. If you have any questions, please contact spott@myteamtriumph-mn.org. Contact Us
